Job description

Eaton’s ES AMER HQ MFGSC division is currently seeking a Packer 2nd shift.

The hourly rate for this position is $18/hr per hour.

What you’ll do:

Position Overview

Pack orders from the distribution center to ensure customer satisfaction with both products and packing.

Essential Functions

1. Verify styles and quantities of materials picked. Visually inspect products, scanning and place in shipping carton. Place packing material in shipping carton to minimize potential of product damage during shipping. Place packing lists, content labels and shipping labels where appropriate.
2. Verify styles and quantities of materials picked, checking styles and quantities. Generate appropriate shipping labels.
3. Wrap orders for shipping.
4. Resolve discrepancies. Research all possible solutions to ensure order is accurate.
5. Follow written and oral instructions. Adhere to all company policies and procedures including practice of good housekeeping.
6. Maintain quality workmanship, observe safety procedures, report unsafe acts and perform work of equal or lower classification if necessary.
7. Use of RF scanner and computer keyboard required.
8. Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
9. Continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling.
10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

1. Relocation is not provided. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Duncan, SC will be considered.
2. Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
3. Must be able to work specific shift hours and have flexibility to work overtime based on customer demand.
4. High School Diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. One year of experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment.
