Job description

Summary:

Employees are required to perform various pack and assembly operations and unmask painted customer products.

Job Functions:
  1. Unmask and inspect parts per the Quality Procedure Manual and customer specifications.
  2. Scrape and touch up parts as needed.
  3. Use job traveler to determine proper packing materials.
  4. Wrap or bag parts as directed and pack in boxes or skids.
  5. Label boxes with customer name, purchase order number, part number, quantity, and name of packer.
  6. Ensure all paperwork is with finished product.
  7. Move materials and perform housekeeping as required.
  8. Ensure the safety of yourself and others by following Company PPE and Safety/Environmental Policies.
  9. Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with tools and machinery; understands how they work and can troubleshoot and fix them.
  • Experience with light-duty machine tools such as drill presses, saws, and grinders.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to follow work instructions.
  • Perform jobs safely, minimizing hazards to self, others, and the environment. Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Demonstrates high dependability in all aspects of the job.
Required Experience:
  • 1 year packing or assembly experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
  • Occasionally move equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to ascend/descend stairs.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, stoop, and kneel.
