Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is hiring a Warehouse Associate I - Packer (1st shift) at our Columbus, Ohio plant to verify goods against orders, securely pack items, label cartons, and move completed shipments to the conveyor.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, the ability to use AS400 and Red Prairie WMS, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to lift 50–70 lbs and stand for 8 hours. Cross-training across functions is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be able to use AS400 and Red Prairie Warehouse Management System.
• Demonstrates close attention to detail to achieve accuracy when accomplishing tasks.
• Physically agile with the ability to stand/walk for an 8-hour shift and lift/maneuver 50 lbs.
• Ability to work cohesively with a diverse range of people.
• Experience in Distribution or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Verify goods against order prior to packaging and clear any discrepancies.
• Carefully pack items to prevent breakage and/or damage.
• Mark and label packed cartons, shipping documents, and packing slips.
• Locate bin order overages and pull order shortages as necessary to complete order.
• Move completed packed cartons to the conveyor belt.
• Willingness to cross-train in other functions.
• Other duties as assigned.
