Job summary

Butterball Farms, Inc. is seeking a Packer to join the 3D line on the shift from 6a-2p, Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays during seasonal peaks. Pay is $15.00 per hour. The role involves packing butter, inspecting quality, ensuring correct weights, labeling, and maintaining a clean work area. Prior food manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Good eye-hand coordination required.
• Able to read and follow standard work instructions.
• Capable of sustained high-speed production.
• Maintain pace on a fast-moving production line.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate peak volume.
• Basic math for counting and labeling.
• Follow GMP and maintain product quality.
• Job history should show stability.
• Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep pace with production and pack product into boxes.
• Visually inspect product for defects.
• Monitor butter weight and consistency within range.
• Assemble boxes and bag products correctly.
• Enter information to create labels and print them.
• Perform hourly metal detector checks.
• Collect butter samples for QA testing.
• Work quickly and multi-task on the line.
• Create skid patterns and stack boxes per spec.
• Use tape gun or tape machine for sealing boxes.
• Verify date, lot code, and label accuracy.
• Enter downtime or line issues into RedZone on a tablet.
• Transport finished product to freezer and wrap skids.
• Maintain a clean work area and assist with cleanup.
• Additional tasks as needed.

Schedule Available: 6a-2p Monday - Friday with occasional and Saturdays for seasonal increases.

As a Packer You Will Be Responsible To

• Keep up with rate and pack product into boxes
• Visually inspect the product for any defects
• Carefully monitor the consistency and weight of the butter to make sure it is within range
• Properly assemble boxes and place appropriate bags
• Properly enter information to create labels and print them
• Hourly metal detector checks
• Gather butter samples for QA testing
• Work at a fast pace and multi-task
• Properly create skid pattern and stack boxes based on product specification
• Properly use a tape-gun to close boxes or properly use a tape machine
• Visualize and verify the correct date, lot code, and label is reflecting on the product being run
• Ability to enter downtime or any line/product issues into RedZone using a tablet
• Transport finished product to the freezer and wrap finished skids
• Maintain a clean area throughout the shift and after the run is complete help the team clean up the area
• Additional tasks as requested
