Job summary

The Performance Group is seeking a Packer for its Mountville, PA facility, a temp-to-hire role with a local company just 25 minutes from York. Multiple shifts available with overtime and weekend possibilities to meet production needs.

Pay ranges from $15.50 to $16.50 per hour, with first, second, and third shifts described. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up boxes/bags/containers for packing.
• Ensure correct labeling and orientation per spec.
• Maintain accurate counts per case.
• Apply notes for container integrity and dates.
• Maintain clean, safe, sanitary shift environment.
• Report food safety and quality issues promptly.
• Follow company safety procedures.

Job description

The Performance Group is looking for a Packer to join the team in Mountville, PA facility of a global food manufacturer! This position is temp to hire, is a great way to start with a local company just 25 min away from York, PA.

Schedule

1st 7am-3pm/ 6am-6pm (Mon-Fri) w/Sat as needed (schedules are sent out on Fridays)

2nd shift 3pm/6pm-6am (Mon-Fri) w/Sat as needed (schedules are sent out on Fridays)

3rd 11pm-7am (Mon-Fri) w/Sat as needed (schedules are sent out on Fridays)

Pay

$15.50-$16.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Sets up boxes and or bags or containers in preparation for the placement of unwrapped finished product or unwrapped bulk material for further processing.
• Ensure containers are correctly labeled and items are oriented per specification.
• Maintains proper count of pieces and number of containers packed in a case.
• Applies special notes for containers integrity and the specified placement code date or other labels or markings.
• Maintain safe and sanitary environment during the shift and will perform clean-up duties at close of shift.
• Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action as necessary.
• Follow safety procedures as outlined by company policy.

Qualification

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Possess manual dexterity to manipulate boxes, bags and cases.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds to shoulder height on an intermittent basis.
• Possess basic math calculation skills
• Understanding of basic principles of the SQF program and other food safety policies/procedures
• Ability to read and speak basic English
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and various shifts is often a requirement to meet production schedules
