Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies, LLC seeks a Packer 1 to join our on-site manufacturing team on a full-time basis across multiple shifts. The role offers competitive hourly pay with shift differentials and operates under a non-exempt hourly framework.

Responsibilities include measuring, weighing, and packing materials, inspecting items for packaging specs, maintaining documentation, and sealing containers. PPE is provided; no previous experience required, though reliability and safety-mindedness

Job Overview:

Job Title:Packer 1

Reports to: Shift Supervisor

Type:Full-Time Non-Exempt (hourly)

Schedule: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday; 5am - 1:30pm), 2nd Shift (Monday- Friday;2pm- 10:30pm), 3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday; 10pm - 6:30am) or 4th shift (Friday - Sunday; 6am -6pm)

Pay: $20.77/hr. (+10% Shift Differential for 2nd Shift, +15% Shift Differential for 3rd Shift)

Valence Surface Technologies production is open 24 hours per day. All shifts are as follows: 1st shift (Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm, 3rd shift (Sunday-Thursday 10:00pm 6:30am)

Essential Functions:

• Measure, weigh, and count products and ma terials.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met.
• Ensure that all documentation is kept with the materials.
• Record product, packaging, an d order information on specified forms and re cords. Seal containers or materials, using the stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools. Clean containers, materials, supplies , or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.) Visually inspect parts to ensure the proces s has been completed correctly Perform othe r duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

• Compensation Range $20.77 to $ 24.00 per hour (DOE)

Temperatures in the work environment can fluctuate with outside weather conditions. Due to the manufacturing environment, Personal Protection Equipment may be required including safety glasses, goggles, aprons, rubber boots, gloves, and a respirator (provided by Company).
