Job summary

The Panther Group is seeking a Packer to join our client’s production team. You will prepare components and products for storage or shipment by carefully packaging materials according to established specifications, in a detail‑oriented, reliable, and hands‑on manufacturing role.

This position involves repetitive tasks in a production environment, using basic packaging tools, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Pack products into shipping containers according to specifications.
• Prepare and assemble boxes, cartons, crates, and other containers.
• Seal, glue, nail, label, and band containers for protection and identification.
• Handle and package small components carefully and accurately.
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections of packaged materials.
• Maintain accurate inspection and production records.
• Identify and report quality concerns to the Production Supervisor.
• Operate tools and equipment used in the packaging process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable performing hands-on, repetitive work in a manufacturing environment. Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Do

• Pack wrapped or packaged products into shipping containers according to established specifications.
• Prepare and assemble boxes, cartons, crates, and other shipping containers.
• Seal, glue, nail, label, and/or band containers to ensure products are properly protected and identified.
• Handle and package small components carefully and accurately.
• Perform visual and mechanical inspections of packaged materials.
• Maintain accurate inspection and production records.
• Identify and report quality concerns to the Production Supervisor.
• Operate appropriate tools and equipment used in the packaging process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Clean and maintain tools and equipment.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods at a workbench or production station.
• Ability to walk throughout the manufacturing facility and move materials between workstations.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive packing, assembly, inspection, and production tasks.
• Requires continuous visual attention for extended periods.
• Some areas of the facility may not be climate controlled.
• Work environment may include occasional exposure to heat, dust, and other typical manufacturing conditions.
• Must exercise appropriate caution when working around production equipment and materials.

Pay $17.50 per hour W2
