Job summary

Our Home is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packer on the 1st shift. You will pack and package products according to company standards and customer requirements in a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires 1-2 years of related experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to learn production processes. Forklift experience and knowledge of food safety are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be able to learn and understand the Production process
• Ability to do repetitive tasks for prolonged periods and work at a pace required to keep up with production demands
• Understanding of the food industry and safety standards
• Basic Math Skills Required
• Exceptional, grammar, writing, and documentation skills required
• Teamwork and communication skills required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for having a working knowledge of all SOPs associated with the packer position
• Compliance required with safety procedures and programs
• Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the production areas and supporting equipment, food safety, and following Good Manufacturing Practices protocols
• Serves as primary point of contact for packing protocols for the employees on their shift when management is not present
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Our Home management

Our Home is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packer on the 1st shift. As a packer, you will be responsible for efficiently packing and packaging products according to company standards and customer requirements. This is a 1st shift position with a typical shift in our Frying Department working 4:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. weekdays vary or in our Popping Department working 6:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. typically Monday - Thursday, both subject to change.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Required to use hands to handle, or feel; reach, stand, bend, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, taste, and smell
• Occasionally lift/move 50 lbs.
• Specific vision includes the following: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes/airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration
• Forklift Operation required
• All employees are responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality, safety issues, or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.
• All employees are responsible for upholding the principles of SQF Food Safety Code.
