Job description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Select appropriately sized boxes or envelopes for shipment to prevent bending, crushing, or shifting of items during delivery. Pack all orders neatly and correctly, including packing glass items in bubble wrap, placing small items in bags, and liquids in bags, packing items upright, and following proper packing procedures.
  2. Verify products during the packing process as needed.
  3. Maintain daily individual production records, noting the time specific tasks are performed, for supervisor review.
  4. Report errors in product selection or quality to the appropriate team member or area, and correct orders as necessary before shipment.
  5. Operate conveyor systems to direct packages to the appropriate locations for packing, sealing, and shipment. Process special orders through the designated process.
  6. Dispose of empty boxes and packaging materials properly to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  7. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Meet company standards for quantity and quality of work, complying with all company policies and procedures, including WorldWide Business Standards.
  • Follow workplace behavior policies in completing job duties and assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Knowledge of basic warehousing operations preferred.

Skills: Strong reading, writing, math, and computer skills. Effective communication skills. Detail-oriented, accountable, and able to make accurate decisions under guidelines. Good problem-solving abilities. Ability to follow instructions, work under stress, and handle multiple tasks. Ability to read fine print and differentiate similar products.

Other: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, or comparable work experience.
