The Marco Group in Austin, TX is seeking a Packer to perform visual inspection of raw and coated materials and to pack packaging materials for production lines. The role requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a warehouse setting.

Shifts run M-F with two time options; hourly pay ranges from $14.00 to $15.00. This full-time position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and meeting production goals in a temperature-controlled environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspection of canvases, art paper sheets, and packaging materials.
  • Package materials using heat shrink tunnel or manual methods.
  • Hand assemble packaging materials.
  • Operate or assist in equipment such as sheeting, cutting, pouching, and related packaging equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in work areas.
  • Collaborate with team to meet safety, quality and production goals.
  • Interface with computer systems: Email, Word & Excel.
  • Move materials using pallet jacks and forklifts.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Full Time Austin, TX, US

Salary Range: $14.00 To $15.00 Hourly

Shifts: M-F6:00am – 2:30pm // 2:30pm – 11:00pm

Compensation:$14 // $15

POSITION SUMMARY

Perform visual inspection at all levels for raw and coated materials (as determined by the QC Department) to ensure quality standards are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as business demands.

  • Manual inspection of cut Canvas, Art paper sheets.
  • Packaging materials in boxes form through a heat shrink tunnel or manually for full width or slit rolls.
  • Hand assembly of packaging materials.
  • Assist in operation of one or more of the following pieces of equipment: sheeting equipment, cutting equipment, pouching, and other packaging equipment.
  • Maintain appropriate housekeeping and process cleanliness.
  • Work closely with others in a team environment to meet safety, quality and production goals.
  • Interface with existing computer systems: Email, PC applications (Word & Excel).
  • Physical and / or mechanical movement of materials manually and with pallet jacks and fork trucks.
  • Perform other duties as requested/required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel and/or crouch.
  • Capable to lift or move 50 lbs.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls: reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch.
EDUCATION

Graduation from high school or GED equivalent preferred. One (1) year relevant experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work is performed in a warehouse temperature-controlled environment. Workers are regularly exposed to dust, odor and noise. The employee works with moving mechanical parts and machinery.
