Job summary

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is hiring for a Packer to operate manufacturing equipment and pack finished plastic containers. You will inspect for defects, maintain equipment, and participate in broad on-the-job training while contributing to quality and efficiency.

We offer 8-hour shifts (Mon-Fri) with a base rate of $17.50/hour plus a $1.00/hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts, along with a comprehensive benefits package and wellness programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Ability to operate basic hand tools (wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers).
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodations.
• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift with training on 1st shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment in finishing stages of production safely.
• Inspect products to ensure quality and remove defects.
• Pack products for distribution.
• Clean and maintain equipment for optimal performance.

Responsibilities

• You Will Operate equipment in the finishing stages of production in a safe manner
• Assure quality standards are always met by inspecting & removing products with visual defects
• Pack products for distribution
• Clean & maintain equipment to assure optimal operating performance
• Grow your knowledge & skills through a wide-variety of training & on-the-job experiences

Requirements

• You Have Ability to work 2nd Shift or 3rd Shift, training on 1st shift
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Mechanical, electrical or other technical/machine operation ability. This can be experience gained through paid or unpaid work
• Able to use basic hand tools, such as wrenches, hammers, screwdrivers, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation

You’ll Earn $17.50/hr. PLUS $1 per hour Shift Differential for 2nd and 3rd Shift
