Job summary

Amcor in Alsip, IL is seeking a team member to remove finished product from machines, inspect for quality, and ensure packaging meets work orders. The role requires reading work orders, inspecting products for customer requirements and defects, and assisting in start-up and changeovers of machinery.

You will perform quality checks on all orders, adhere to packaging requirements, and maintain accurate paperwork in JDE while upholding GMP and housekeeping standards.

• Manual dexterity required.

• Enter production in JDE and print required paperwork.
• Complete at least one Work Place Observation per month.
• Place customer labels neatly on cartons/pallets as required.
• Follow GMPs per procedures.
• Maintain clean, orderly work area and paperwork.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary

To remove finished product from the machines, inspect product to ensure quality specifications have been met and that all packaging requirements have been done according to production work order.

Responsibilities

• Read work order for product specifications and any special instructions concerning packaging, special skids, cartons, cradles, banding requirements, and samples
• Inspects products for customer requirements and any defects
• Assists in start-up and change over of machinery or orders
• Performs all required quality checks on all orders on a regular basis
• Adheres to all packaging requirements per Production Work Order
• Capable of entering production in JDE and printing all necessary paperwork, to include closing out last skid of order.
• Completes at least one Work Place Observation per month.
• Place customer labels on end of cartons or gaylords in a straight and neat manner. Adhere to any and all identification sheets, tally sheets, bar codes as requested by the customer
• Follow AIB Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’S) per written procedures and practices
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety by maintaining a clean and orderly work area
• Maintain paperwork in order and not inter-mixed with orders that are completed or about to run.
• Other duties as assigned.
