Job summary

Target is seeking a Packaging-Principal Value Engineer to design, implement, and optimize value engineering across packaging programs. You will collaborate with supply chain, product teams, and operations to reduce costs while maintaining quality, and you will drive cross-functional initiatives to improve efficiency across packaging initiatives.

Four-year degree in related fields is required, with Lean/Six Sigma experience and strong data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Assembly Excellence, Process Engineering, Packaging Engineering or related field; postgraduate education liked.
• Prior experience in process improvement and Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Experience with performance metrics and process improvement structures.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement value engineering processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency in packaging.
• Develop understanding of Target's supply chain and order fulfillment to align cross-functional teams.
• Identify opportunities to drive efficiencies through pilots and testing within packaging programs.
• Lead packaging teams in cost reductions, quality improvements, and optimization initiatives.
