Job summary

The Simplot Company is seeking a training-focused role to ensure understanding of the purpose and operation of all processing areas on all lines at the GF plant in Grand Forks. The position emphasizes developing training strategies with SMEs, reviewing safety documents, and maintaining GMPs.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, be able to work independently, and possess basic computer skills with MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Previous training experience is helpful.
• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in English.
• Basic computer knowledge is required.
• Must be able to use MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Monitor training level of overall teams within scope and work with Training Specialist to develop training strategy.
• Identify Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on each team to aid in training efforts.
• Review training documents with employees including safety docs, lock out tag out procedures, SOPs, standard work, etc.
• Provide limited hands-on training as required.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies and plant procedures and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Maintain Company standards for safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs.
• Follow safety rules to avoid injuries.
• Communicate with team members and support groups to meet operational goals.
• Handle additional duties and accountabilities as assigned by management.

Summary

The job is required to fully understand the purpose and operation of all processing areas on all lines.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor training level of overall teams within scope. Work with Training Specialist to develop training strategy for those teams.

• Work within safety rules and regulations in actively avoiding injury to self and others.
• Maintain necessary level of communication with team members and other support groups and does so in a participative management style conducive with operational goals.
• Ensure that additional duties and accountabilities required by management are handled in a manner necessary to meet operational standards.
