Job summary

Mars in Columbia, SC seeks a Packaging Operator to run large and small bag lines, blending kibble safely and packaging it according to schedule. You will perform quality checks, maintain logs, and train fellow associates for safe and efficient production.

Responsibilities include line changeovers, GUI operation for blending systems, and maintaining clean, organized work areas while supporting continuous improvement and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
• Basic knowledge of personal computers (MS Office and email).
• Willingness to work rotating schedules.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee Big Bag and Small Bag lines, including changeovers and troubleshooting.
• Perform quality checks, maintain conformance reports and system logs.
• Provide packaging materials and stage materials for shifts; understand GUI for blending systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and promote safety and product integrity.
• Train other packaging associates and collaborate to improve operations.
