Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas in Batavia, IL is seeking a Packer I to support the finishing department by packaging products to specification and aiding production flow. You will help maintain quality standards and contribute to a safe, clean work environment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting and moving moderate weights, and collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient packing and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to understand simple assembly and packaging processes.
• 6+ months of packing experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely and consistently.
• Comfort with repetitive packaging tasks and maintaining quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Package product to meet all specified requirements.
• Ensure all nonconforming material is segregated, properly identified, and stacked.
• Report all unidentified non-conformances.
• Support Gluers as a packer/inspector.
• Place stacks of cards into gluer feed tables and/or catch glued product and place into cases.
• Interact and communicate positively with other departments.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including completion of sweep sheets at the end of each shift.
• Follow all safety and operational procedures.
