Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Support the plant’s continuous improvement efforts.
  2. Participate in required DDS (Daily Direction Setting) meetings.
  3. Train new employees.
  4. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  5. Complete required paperwork timely and accurately.
  6. Operate equipment safely.
  7. Understand and follow CILT (Clean, Inspect, Lube, and Tighten).
  8. Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment.
  9. Perform minor and routine maintenance on equipment.
  10. Communicate any issues and solutions to next shift.
  11. Read and follow production schedule.
  12. Cleaning of all equipment using CIP systems, COP tanks and manual cleaning.
  13. Communicate issues with co-workers, maintenance technicians, and lead.
  14. Operate computer systems needed to run production.
  15. Use two-way radio to communicate remotely with other team members.
  16. Comply with all quality policies and procedures, including Good Manufacturing Practices.
  17. Demonstrate how to centerline machines.
  18. Operate Bagger/Debagger and Pallet Strapper.
  19. Operate Robotic Palletizing/Depalletizing.
  20. Pass and maintain forklift certification.
  21. Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness in work areas.
  22. Escalate issues in a timely manner to team members, support personnel, and plant leadership.
  23. Comply with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
  24. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Preferred Candidate Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing.
  • Minimum 1 year experience operating fluid dairy fillers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fundamental skills in influencing and persuasion.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for developing trusting relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Ability to work in a fluid environment.
  • Ability to identify problems, draw conclusions, and recommend solutions.
  • Self-directed with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including overtime, graveyard shifts, and weekends as needed.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet/humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, loud noises, high places, cold, electrical shocks, and vibration. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
