Job summary

Grainwell Puffed Grains is hiring a Packaging Technician to manage packaging and warehousing of finished goods at our Dyersville facility. You will ensure packaging equipment adheres to established food manufacturing regulations and sanitation requirements, while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

Responsibilities include inspecting packaging, packing pouches, verifying date codes, stacking cases, and supporting sanitation tasks.

Qualifications

• Education - High School education or GED preferred.
• Follow all safety and food safety policies and procedures.
• Reliability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude at all times.
• Visually inspecting packaging including print and date codes on film.
• Accurately packing finished good pouches into corrugated boxes.
• Ensure accurate date codes on boxes.
• Stack cases on Pallets in accordance with customer requirements.
• Sustaining cleanliness of packaging area.
• Assisting in loading WIP supersacks on the packaging lines.
• Performs sanitation tasks as directed by line lead or management.
• Performs other duties as assigned by site management.
• Adhere to GMPs, health, and safety guidelines as outlined in quality and food safety procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
