Job summary

Highland Laboratories is seeking a General Laborer for our Packaging Department in Oregon. The role involves learning SOPs and GMPs, operating and monitoring packaging lines, and maintaining quality throughout the process.

Responsibilities include following production schedules, keeping logs, and communicating with supervisors and other departments. The work requires reliability, basic math skills, and the ability to work safely in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Good math skills with metric weights and measures.
• Fluent English in reading, writing and speaking.
• Demonstrated reliability and attention to quality.
• Experience in vitamin/agricultural/food products industry preferred.
• Experience in a production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and follow SOPs and GMPs for the Packaging Department.
• Operate packaging machinery with proper settings and quality control.
• Monitor fillers, cappers, sealers, labelers and other equipment.
• Maintain logs and paperwork for the department.
• Follow daily production schedules and changeover procedures.
• Keep machines and area clean and safe; adhere to safety procedures.
• Communicate with Packaging Supervisor and other departments daily.
