Job summary

Danone North America is hiring for a packaging and operations role in Dallas. You will perform routine lubrication, cleaning and inspection of equipment, troubleshoot to maximize efficiency while maintaining product quality, and operate forklifts and SAP for pallet tickets and palletizer changes.

The role requires basic computer skills, a High School diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 55 pounds. Weekend and overtime flexibility is expected as part of the shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GMPs and safety rules is required.
• Basic computer skills are necessary to operate systems.
• Ability to read and follow safety instructions and manuals.
• Good decision-making to determine best course of action.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine lubing, cleaning and inspection of equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
• Operate forklift and supply Packaging, Filler Room and Blending Room with materials.
• Stock equipment with packaging materials.
• Print and apply pallet tickets using SAP; change flavors in SAP for palletizer functions.
• Maintain written records as required by regulations.
• Work weekends, shifts, and overtime as needed.
• Follow specifications, policies and procedures to ensure uniformity.
• Communicate with shifts about current activities in process.
• Coordinate with upstream and downstream associates to maintain product supply.
• Troubleshoot and fix minor issues with packing and palletizer equipment.
• Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe workplace.
• Assist with equipment maintenance.
• Identify higher-level mechanical issues and coordinate with Maintenance.
