Job summary

The J.R. Simplot Company in Ontario, United States, is seeking a Packaging Operator to maintain and repair packaging equipment from the distribution deck to the track. You will train colleagues and support safe, efficient operations to meet packaging goals.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of related experience, basic computer skills, and manual dexterity. Shift is 6:00am–6:00pm with a wage of 21.48 per hour; travel is None.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of related experience and/or training.
• One year certificate from a college or technical school; or 3–6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate to perform job duties.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, quality, food safety, sanitation and GMPs.
• Provide troubleshooting, repair and support on equipment and supporting systems.
• Operate and monitor equipment in the assigned area.
• Perform changeovers on packaging equipment.
• Create work orders for downtime or non-operational equipment.
• Assist in training other plant personnel.
• Ensure packaging area remains in a sanitary condition.
• Other duties may be assigned.
