Job summary

Blount Fine Foods Corp. in McKinney, TX, is seeking a Packaging Operator I for the 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM) to operate packaging equipment safely, accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities include maintaining processing flow, monitoring KPIs for safety, quality and productivity, troubleshooting equipment with maintenance, and ensuring proper start-up/shutdown and line clearance between batches. Requires high school diploma or equivalent; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–6 months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Willingness to learn and operate multiple packaging lines and equipment.
• Knowledge of GMPs, safety procedures and allergen controls is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret production paperwork and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment safely and efficiently to meet target yields.
• Maintain processing flow to achieve established operational efficiency.
• Assist Instructors/Trainers in effective staff training when needed.
• Track, review and communicate KPIs for safety, quality, productivity, waste, yield and equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
• Perform proper start-up and shutdown, and ensure line clearance between batches.
