Job description

Paradise Locker Meats (PLM) is seeking full-time employees to fill PACKAGING positions. Covid vaccination is NOTrequired.

Monday – Friday hours with probable overtime – NO WEEKENDS!

Main Duties:

Package and label efficiently and precisely all products produced for packaging.

• Assist Sausage and Cooked Meat Coordinator with packaging of smoked product
• Assist with packaging of fresh meats
• Separate and Monitor Cut Sheets per individual orders
• Check labels for accuracy
• Assist other departments as needed

Work environment:While performing the duties of this job, the production worker is exposed to: Extreme cold temperatures, blood, excessive moisture, machine noise.

Skills and Experience Needed for Success:

• Ability to work well with others
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• One year experience in factory setting preferred but not required
• Experience with fulfillment of orders
• Be able to stand for 10 hours per day

On a daily basis livestock is processed, cut, packaged and shipped via truck and via FedEx. The day-to-day operations at PLM can be challenging and difficult as PLM customers include the most demanding and celebrated chefs. When the Friday truck leaves, everything must be perfect and accounted for. A drug test is required.
