Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics hires a Packaging Team Leader in New Jersey to direct daily packaging operations on the floor, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant production. The role provides planning, scheduling, equipment oversight, and guidance to the team, acting as backup supervisor when needed.

You will train and mentor staff, maintain rigorous documentation, and collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Validation to meet regulatory requirements and product specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervision experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical packaging operations and cGMP requirements.
• Ability to lead, train, mentor, and maintain precise documentation; excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform supervisory duties in the absence of the Packaging Supervisor, overseeing cGMP documentation, equipment setup/operation, cleaning, maintenance; direct team; promote safety and compliance; manage labor/materials to meet schedules.
• Train employees, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with SOPs and batch records.
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Validation to meet specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Operate/oversee packaging equipment (blister packers, bottle fillers, labelers, cartoners, serialization systems).
• Coordinate workflow across multiple packaging lines and shifts to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.

Acts as backup supervisory capacity in the absence of the Packaging Supervisor to maintain packaging productivity, quality, and adherence to cGMP and safety standards.

• Prior experience in the pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
