Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in Lakeland, FL is seeking a manufacturing/packaging operator to prep cartons for printing, feed cartons to printers, and wrap cases for shipment. You will operate a forklift, inspect quality, and follow safety protocols. Drug screening is required after a conditional offer.

Experience with reading a tape measure and performing basic math is preferred. This is a full-time on-site role with opportunities to grow within a sustainable packaging leader.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and perform basic math.
• Must read and understand a tape measure.
• Must pass a drug screen after a conditional job offer.

Responsibilities

• Preps bundles of cartons for printing, stacks and feeds cartons onto printer and stacks finished cartons in bundles.
• Cleans and preps printing plates before and after use on printer.
• Manually wrap cases if shrink tunnel is not in operation.
• Checks quality of boxes and communicates issues to printer operator.
• Operates a fork truck to move boxes for printing and staging for shipment.
• Transfers cases from conveyor to pallets for wrapping and shipment.
