Job summary

IPG in New Jersey is hiring a Packer to support the Operations team. This hourly position focuses on packing boxes and preparing products for shipment while maintaining quality standards.

The role requires basic math, good English communication, and the stamina to stand and walk for long shifts. You will work closely with machine operators and supervision to ensure efficiency and safety on the plant floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Intermediate math skills and English written communication skills necessary.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours at a time required.
• Ability to work in space limited work area on continuous basis.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis.

Responsibilities

• Packs boxes and prepares product for shipment.
• Removes finished products from the machine, places product labels, packs item in bags and cartons, and places finished product in proper location as per specifications.
• Performs advanced quality checks, and communicates with operator and supervisor to ensure quality specifications.
• Aids in the proper and effective operation of the machinery.
• Willing to assist in other areas of the plant, including covering lunches and breaks as required.
• Performs all work in a safety first mentality and with utilization of IPS lean manufacturing skills.
