Job summary

G&D Integrated in East Peoria, IL is seeking a Packager responsible for packaging goods to customer specifications with accuracy and quality. The role includes de-consolidation of inbound loads and preparation of packages for shipment.

You will perform physical counts, use work orders to verify parts and quantities, and complete barcode transactions to ensure traceability. You will also secure materials to prevent damage in transit and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Some college/technical school or experience in a third-party logistics environment preferred.
• Previous experience using material handling equipment preferred.
• Demonstrate an ability to use job specific hand held tools (bander, crowbar).

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper material handling and packaging standards are met.
• Performs accurate physical count of material quantity to resolve discrepancies.
• Uses work orders to ensure proper parts/quantity are available for shipment.
• Completes transactions in a bar code/scanner computer system.
• Properly packages and secures material to ensure material is not damaged during transportation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
