Job summary

Robert Reiser & Company is seeking a Packaging Specialist to support our regional Sales team with technical expertise on packaging machines and to cultivate customer relationships across the territory. The role emphasizes aggressive pipeline development and timely technical proposals.

The ideal candidate will have direct experience in packaging equipment sales or technical support, knowledge of Overwrap/Thermoform/Lid Seal/MAP applications, and the ability to travel regionally up to 80%.

Qualifications

• Experience selling or providing technical support of packaging equipment in meat/food industries preferred.
• Knowledge of Overwrap, Thermoform, Lid Seal and Modified Atmosphere Packaging applications.
• Willingness to travel roughly 70-80% regionally.
• Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide the Reiser sales team with technical support on packaging machines.
• Represent products to customers and develop pipelines through networking and targeted outreach.
• Facilitate quotations, product samples, and deliveries in coordination with internal teams.
• Train new sales personnel on packaging products and market applications.

International travel is possible depending on event schedules, supplier training, relationship building, customer visits, and career growth. We are seeking aggressive, enthusiastic and determined professionals who can professionally present our packaging solutions to new and existing customers.What You’ll DoProvide the Reiser sales team with technical support on packaging machines.Support and communicate with sales team on all packaging calls with customers.Professionally represent our products to new and existing customers.Continually build pipelines through cold-calling, networking, and maintaining positive relationships; internally and externally.Share best sales practices with team and company.Be actively involved with sales industry associations and attend relevant packaging trade shows.Ensure technical documentation and reports are accurate and are received on time.Help to facilitate quotations, product samples, and deliveries.Maintain a strong working knowledge of each packaging machine and their application in the marketplace.Track sales of packaging equipment in the assigned territory, growth, and market penetration.Train new sales personnel in packaging and what markets each product is best suited for.Work with the Reiser Service Team on machine installations.Attending national and regional sales meetings and packaging trade shows.What You BringDirect experience selling or providing technical support of packaging equipment or products (preferably in the meat/food/cheese industries).Strong knowledge of Overwrap, Thermoform, Lid Seal and Modified Atmosphere Packaging Applications.Understands importance of selling equipment with the added service component and working closely with service team.Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task.Comfortable communicating with people on the shop floor to presidents of companies.Ability to travel overnight is roughly 70-80% regionally based.Undergraduate degree preferred but not required.May reside anywhere in the greater territory, ideally within an hour radius of a major airport.Why Reiser?Joining Reiser means more than just a job — it’s an opportunity to be part of a company that values relationships, encourages team members to reach their potential, and is committed to ongoing success.
