Position Overview

The Packaging Shift Supervisor is a key first-line management role responsible for overseeing the packaging operations at Victory Brewing Company. This position ensures the achievement of daily and weekly production goals, manages a team of Packaging Line Leads and Assistants, and maintains adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and maintain proficiency in packaging operations, including equipment maintenance, cleaning, and operation according to SOPs.
• Manage shift production goals for three packaging lines, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Coordinate incoming product, packaging materials, and outgoing finished products with supply chain teams.
• Identify and resolve problems proactively, providing guidance to staff and escalating issues as needed.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards, ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards.
• Support maintenance schedules and submit work orders for equipment issues.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of department staff.
• Contribute to waste reduction initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in packaging within a production brewery or food/beverage manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to follow preventative maintenance plans.
• Strong computer skills, including Office Suite and ERP systems.
• Physical ability to lift at least 30 lbs, move 165 lbs, and stand for long periods.

Additional Details

Availability for steady 2nd shift, M-F, 1:45pm-10:15pm. Candidates should demonstrate a sense of urgency, a positive attitude, and attention to detail. The role requires adherence to safety and responsible alcohol service standards.
