Job summary

Amcor is hiring for a role focused on packaging quality and safe operation of production equipment in our Cumberland, MD facility. The position supports continuous production and strong adherence to safety, GMP and HACCP practices.

Starting pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour, with adjustments based on knowledge, skills, and experience. Candidates must be able to handle basic paperwork and lift up to 35 lbs as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to calculate parts requirements.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to stand/walk for multiple consecutive hours.
• Must be able to read, write, and complete basic math.
• Follow instructions in both oral and written form.
• Minimal lifting capabilities of 35 lbs

Responsibilities

• Inspect and package plastic products of good quality.
• Operate equipment efficiently and safely.
• Safely utilize basic tools before placing boxes on a pallet.
• Properly complete all required paperwork.
• Ensure accuracy and monitor quality of production runs.
• Maintain continuous production runs and machine efficiency.
• Maintain plant cleanliness through daily work-area cleaning and proper scrap placement.
• Perform additional job duties as required by leadership efficiently and safely.
• Adhere to all Company and Departmental procedures.
• Follow all Safety, Food Safety, GMP and HACCP practices.
