Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in packaging or related field.
• 5-7 years of packaging experience; CPG/food manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of packaging design, materials, formats, and testing.
• Strong computer skills with Excel, SharePoint, SAP, and PLM.
• Excellent communication and project management.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver packaging solutions from concept to launch, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
• Source stock packaging options with Procurement and external vendors; develop custom packaging as needed.
• Develop packaging specifications for internal use and customer/retailer requests.
• Conduct testing for packaging components incl. line tests and ship tests to validate specs.
• Serve as packaging lead on cross-functional teams; manage timelines, risks, and contingencies.
• Troubleshoot packaging issues; provide cost-effective, timely solutions.
• Coordinate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Transport to resolve issues.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in materials, labor, and logistics.
• Prepare technical reports and communications for cross-functional teams on packaging decisions.
• Support capital projects startup activities including equipment qualification and performance verification.
• Stay current with packaging trends, technology, and sustainability definitions.
