Job description

Turn great designs into packaging that’s ready for print.

A great design is only the beginning.Every color, line, and detail must be accurate before it reaches the printer.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Packaging Production Artist who enjoys the technical side of design. You’ll prepare, check, and refine packaging artwork to make sure every file meets print requirements and is ready for production.

If you’re skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, understand print production, and take pride in getting every detail right, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do
  • Prepare artwork for print: Refine and finalize packaging files so they’re ready for printing and manufacturing.
  • Catch every detail: Check text, spelling, fonts, colors, layouts, dimensions, and technical specifications.
  • Get files production-ready: Work with dielines, bleeds, trapping, color separations, and print-ready file settings.
  • Manage print colors and finishes: Set up CMYK, Pantone, and spot colors, along with special finishes such as foil stamping, embossing, debossing, and varnishes.
  • Fix artwork issues: Identify and resolve technical problems before files go to the printer.
  • Keep files organized: Manage revisions, file versions, and final approved artwork.
  • Work with the team: Partner with designers, product development teams, and printers to ensure every package is produced correctly.
  • Maintain high standards: Keep artwork accurate and consistent across different products and packaging formats.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in packaging production art, prepress, or packaging design, ideally in consumer packaged goods (CPG).
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • A strong understanding of print production, dielines, color separations, bleeds, trapping, and print-ready files.
  • Knowledge of CMYK, Pantone/spot colors, and specialty printing techniques.
  • Excellent proofreading skills and a sharp eye for detail.
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects without sacrificing quality.
  • A technical, process-focused mindset and an understanding of how digital artwork becomes physical packaging.
Why This Role Matters

Your work helps turn creative ideas into packaging that looks right, prints correctly, and meets production standards. By catching errors before files reach the printer, you’ll help prevent costly reprints, avoid delays, and ensure every detail is ready for the real world.

If you love precision, understand print production, and believe the smallest details make the biggest difference, we’d love to hear from you.
