Job summary

Archer Meat Snacks is seeking a Procurement Buyer Planner, Packaging in Vernon, CA to optimize packaging sourcing, manage supplier relationships, and drive continuous improvement across procurement and operations. The role partners with Manufacturing, Planning, Marketing, R&D, Finance, and Quality to ensure packaging availability and performance.

The candidate will analyze data, develop sourcing strategies, and lead supplier negotiations to support new product commercialization and inventory

Qualifications

4–7 years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
Experience purchasing packaging materials within manufacturing preferred.
Strong supplier management and procurement analytics experience.
ERP proficiency with NetSuite, Oracle, SAP or similar systems.

Responsibilities

Manage supplier relationships across packaging categories, ensuring service, quality and delivery.
Create, manage, and monitor purchase orders with accurate pricing and lead times in ERP.
Support supplier negotiations, quarterly business reviews, sourcing initiatives, and continuous improvement.
Identify alternate suppliers and supply continuity strategies to strengthen packaging network.
Develop inventory strategies balancing service levels and working capital.
Analyze supplier performance, inventory health, and procurement KPIs to identify improvements.
Support cost savings initiatives through negotiations and market analysis.
Coordinate packaging transitions and commercialization projects with cross-functional teams.
