Job summary

The Simplot Company in Pasco, WA is seeking a General Laborer to perform a variety of tasks in packaging and processing, including dumping frozen product, building totes, loading onto conveyors, and inspecting for defects.

You will work in refrigerated environments, stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and participate in sanitation duties; training and PPE provided, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 12 months prior experience in similar role.
• Ability to work in refrigerated and frozen environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operates a product hopper to dump frozen product on the packaging line.
• Builds cardboard totes, tapes and inserts corner posts.
• Loads cardboard totes into tote erector, inserts liner and tote corners into finished tote.
• Inspects product for defects and removes foreign material from vegetables on a conveyer belt.
• Wears PPE and cleans equipment during downtime using water, chemicals, brush, and squeegee.
• Other duties as assigned.
