Job summary

ChampionX, now part of SLB, seeks an Assistant Process Operator in Freeport, TX to support packaging, material handling, and quality checks in a chemical manufacturing environment. The role involves operating fill lines, cappers, scales, and labelers, while maintaining accurate records.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, be able to lift 50+ pounds, and work rotating shifts including nights and weekends. OSHA/EPA compliance and strong safety habits are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, and follow detailed procedures in English.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and overtime.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment including fill lines, pumps, valves, cappers, torque tools, scales, and labelers.
• Package materials in accordance with batch instructions and production schedules.
• Perform in-process checks for quality samples, weights, seals, fill accuracy, and container integrity.
• Prepare drums, totes, and other containers for filling, labeling, and shipment.
• Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, and minor troubleshooting.
