Job summary

Ken’s Foods in Marlborough, MA is looking for a hands-on maintenance specialist to keep packaging and process equipment at peak performance. Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, repairing automated packaging machinery, and interpreting electrical schematics.

You will work on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and welding tasks with a 4-day 10-hour shift pattern on 3rd shift. A valid Steam Plant license in MA is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience across packaging and process equipment.
• Ability to pass the Standard Timing Model mechanical test with 60% or better.
• Massachusetts special license for Steam Plant operations; training available if not yet licensed.

Ken’s Foods in Marlborough, MA is growing—and our climate-controlled plant needs a hands-on specialist who keeps packaging and process equipment at peak performance.

What you’ll do

• Tackle issues across plant systems—find root causes and fix them fast
• Operate, troubleshoot, and repair automated packaging machinery
• Apply pump theory to diagnose and repair pumps
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic systems
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems
• Interpret electrical schematics to guide repairs
• Safely work on both low- and high-voltage circuits
• Diagnose electric motors, motor controls, and device controls
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control and power circuits
• Service electrically controlled assets, including PLC-controlled and solid-state equipment
• Perform gas and arc welding and soldering
• Support utilities: steam, hot water, compressed air, and refrigeration (fundamentals)
• Apply basic plumbing and carpentry skills
• Source and order parts using manufacturers’ manuals and prints
• Communicate and follow instructions clearly—oral and written

What you bring

• 3+ years of maintenance experience across the areas above
• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent mix of experience and training
• Ability to pass the Standard Timing Model mechanical test with 60% or better
• Massachusetts only: Special to Operate Engineering License (Steam Plant); training available if not yet licensed
