Job summary

Amcor LLC is seeking a packaging operator at our Illinois facility. You will safely operate winders, glue machines, folder/stackers and conveyors, with a focus on reducing scrap and maintaining housekeeping and quality.

You will read travelers, perform visual quality checks and quickly report any non-conforming product to the appropriate supervisor. During your shift you may support multiple lines to maintain safe, efficient production.

Qualifications

• Follows all Company policies regarding safety, quality and attendance.
• Capable of reading and understanding a Traveler.
• Capable of attending multiple Lines based on bag count and Line speed.

Responsibilities

• Operates winders, glue machines, folder/stackers and conveyors safely.
• Maintains scrap reduction and housekeeping to quality standards.
• Performs regular visual quality checks and reports non-conforming product.
• Assists operators to improve safety, quality and production across the shift.
• Ensures packaging components (labels, boxes, cartons, sleeves, date code, pallet pattern) meet quality standards.
