Job summary

Westlake seeks an on-site warehouse/packaging associate to operate equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring neat and accurate packaging of finished product. The role includes setting up Gaylord boxes, inspecting materials, weighing and labeling packages, driving a forklift, and supporting the machine operator during start-up and shutdown.

Ideal candidates hold a High School Diploma, score Silver or higher on Work Keys, and a forklift license with prior forklift experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Score Silver or above on Work Keys test.
• Certified Forklift License and prior forklift experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment while performing job duties.
• Set up Gaylord boxes and mark tares to meet production demands.
• Inspect each Gaylord box and liner for cleanliness and suitability.
• Weigh and package material with neat, legible labels.
• Drive forklift and assist machine operator on start-up/shut-down.
• Monitor vacuum chambers and finished product from your station.
• Notify shift supervisor if anything is suspected at coolers.
• Handle and store finished product and bulk materials properly.
• Keep area and tools neat and stored properly.
• Break, clean, and reassemble coolers; clean all cooler components.
• Stack packages neatly, including temporary storage.
• Be company oriented and willing to take assigned tasks.
• Follow Safety, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 procedures.
• Willing to work variable hours and overtime as needed.
