Job summary

Westlake Chemical in Wisconsin is seeking a dependable packaging operator to ensure safe, neat, and efficient packaging of all finished product. You will operate equipment, set up and weigh packaging, and support the machine operator on start-up and shut-down.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Silver or better Work Keys score; a certified forklift license and prior forklift experience are preferred.

• Silver or above on Work Keys test.
• Certified Forklift License and prior forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment while performing job duties.
• Set up Gaylord boxes and ensure tares are ready to meet production demands.
• Inspect each Gaylord box and liner for cleanliness and suitability.
• Weigh and package material with neat, legible labels.
• Drive forklift and assist machine operator on start-up and shut-down.
• Monitor vacuum chambers and notify supervisor if issues arise.
• Handle and store finished products and bulk materials efficiently.
• Keep area and tools neat, clean and properly stored.
• Break down and clean coolers, and perform routine cleaning on shift.
• Follow Safety, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 procedures and be willing to work varying shifts.
