Job description

Job Summary

Packaging Operators are responsible for operating packaging while ensuring the highest integrity of the customer’s product, preventing contamination by adhering to all established standardized processes and customer requirements. Ensures all packaging operations are conducted in a safe, prompt, and effective manner at the assigned pack-out line. Understands and follows all Core values, Company policies, and Safety procedures:

Job Requirements

Responsibilities

  1. Operate and maintain safe packaging, material handling, and visual inspection operations within the guidelines of EHS and Quality policies.
  2. Operate and maintain GPP’s (Good Packaging Practices).
  3. Perform complete blowdowns following customers’ quality standards.
  4. Assist Packaging Lead with setup at the lines.
  5. Set up transfer hoses to railcar following GPP’s.
  6. Verify and initial paperwork before starting a new order.
  7. Verify and initial test print after the Packaging Lead.
  8. Report any quality concerns to the Packaging Lead during the packaging process.
  9. Complete all assigned training in Paylocity.
  10. Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area.
  11. Assist the Packaging Lead to complete all tasks assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

  • 6–12 months warehouse experience
  • 6–12 months operations experience
  • Ability to work under little supervision
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Ability to work on rotating shifts
  • Flexibility to work with different crews if needed
  • Flexibility with last-minute changes
