Job summary

Client in San Jose, CA is seeking a Packaging Operator with pallet jack and shipping/receiving experience for a 9-month contract. The role is 40 hours per week, 1st shift, with a pay range of $16–$20 per hour.

Responsibilities include inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products, maintaining quality, and accurate documentation. Requires 1 year of experience and a high school diploma; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of industry work experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documenting processes.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Good documentation practices and record-keeping.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Manual inspection, labeling, and packaging of clinical and commercial products.
• Perform finished product packaging to meet customer and internal demand.
• Ensure packaging complies with procedures and quality specs.
• Inspect in-process packaging and components for quality; remove defects.
• Maintain documentation of packaging activities (device history records, inventory counts).
• Perform simple mathematical calculations to assist batch records.
• Assist with inventory counting as required.
• Participate in safety audits and daily safety discussions.
• Perform routine cleaning of packaging station and equipment.
• Abide by PPE and contamination control requirements.
• Handle hazardous waste as appropriate.
