Job summary

Sofidel in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a hands-on manufacturing operator to follow safety and environmental procedures, operate machinery, perform basic maintenance, and participate in change-overs to maximize efficiency.

You will document productivity and quality, assist in training, and collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to ensure products meet customer specs; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and prior experience preferred.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and quality and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety and environmental procedures and use safety PPE as required.
• Participate in accident investigations as required.
• Understand and apply customer specifications to machine operation to meet requirements.
• Perform regular equipment audits to ensure safe operation, including guards and safety systems.
• Complete quality checks to published standards with honesty and integrity.
• Inform supervision and management of non-conforming products.
• Keep the work area and equipment clean to minimize contamination risks.
• Run machinery at maximum efficiency and adjust setup for best performance.
• Perform basic maintenance and write work orders for items needing repair.
• Plan and perform change-overs and set up equipment as needed.
• Eliminate waste in raw materials and production activities.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality departments.
• Record productivity and quality data on a shift basis with integrity.
• Work as part of a team and follow good practices.
