Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for working in packaging to maintain a steady flow of production. Tasks include loading and unloading tubs and moving pallets. Must follow SOPs and departmental procedures. Recommends improvements and identifies potential operational problems related to personnel and equipment. Reports to the packaging supervisor and has no direct reports.

Salary Range: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, education, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs visual inspections of lot numbers, expiration dates, inserts, trays, partitions, overpacks, packing, and palletizing overpacks.
• Works on assembly lines with high-speed, computer-based equipment with HMI applications.
• Ensures that packaged products meet 100% of specifications.
• Complies with SOPs and cGMPs and adheres to training requirements.
• Maintains a clean, organized work environment and meets daily goals.
• Makes minor adjustments and assists with equipment changeovers and setup.
• Performs and documents line clearances before and after each batch.
• Ensures a safe working environment, wears appropriate safety gear, and reports unsafe conditions.
• Performs other duties as assigned and works overtime as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to three years of manufacturing/packaging experience.
• Basic problem-solving and mechanical skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly.
