Purpose
The purpose of this role is to assist in packaging manufactured metered dose inhalation (MDI) products in a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.

Multifunctional Role
This position is primarily a Packaging Operator and also supports Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing Operations, and Facilities Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand basics of mechanical machinery and principles of control systems.
- Operate pharmaceutical packaging equipment with minimum rejection and maximum output while maintaining quality standards within cGMP.
- Clean machines and work areas during batch and product changeovers.
- Perform preventive maintenance of machines.
- Identify and assist in corrective actions for packaging-related issues.
- Correct status labeling at all stages of the packing line with signature.
- Ensure appropriate equipment calibrations are performed and records are maintained.
- Ensure line clearance before initiating packaging activities in each area.
- Wear appropriate PPE as stated in the SOP before initiating the process.
- Work individually and collaborate with others as part of a team.
- Execute procedures to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
- Complete documents on time with accuracy and completeness.
- Adhere to all cGMPs, compliance/regulatory mandates, and quality requirements.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Use equipment safely according to Health & Safety procedures and equipment manuals.
- Perform other related duties assigned.
Other Responsibilities
- Maintain 100% cGMP & compliance during operation hours.
- Follow departmental SOPs.
- Report issues to the department head or manager.
- Perform daily maintenance on equipment and machinery.Maintain discipline in the department.
- Assist in training other employees in the department when required.
- Be flexible to work extended hours to meet manufacturing schedules.
Training and Safety
- All employees undergo various training activities at the start of their employment.
- New training and retraining occur periodically.
- Employees must strictly adhere to all safety, health, and environmental guidelines at all times and ensure safety precautions during machine handling.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Accredited college certificate or university degree preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in packaging operations preferred.
- Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing) to understand work instructions and document results.
- Knowledge of fundamental cGMP and regulatory requirements in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment highly preferred.
- Basic understanding of mechanical machinery and operating principles of control systems.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures, including OSHA.
- Strong mathematical and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to do heavy lifting/bending frequently.
- Exert force continuously and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force rarely using a hand truck.
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE.
- May be required to wear respiratory devices such as APR, PAPRs, or SAR.
