Job Description

The Packaging Operator assists in packaging manufactured metered dose inhalation (MDI) products in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include operating packaging equipment, ensuring compliance with cGMP standards, maintaining quality, performing equipment cleaning and maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate pharmaceutical packaging equipment with minimal rejection and maximum output.
  • Perform cleaning, calibration, and preventive maintenance of machines.
  • Identify and assist in resolving packaging issues.
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation.
  • Follow safety procedures and use PPE.
  • Work collaboratively with team members.
  • Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and quality standards.
Other Responsibilities
  • Maintain 100% cGMP compliance.
  • Report issues promptly.
  • Perform daily equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in training new employees if required.
  • Work extended hours as needed to meet production schedules.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of packaging experience preferred.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Knowledge of cGMP and safety regulations preferred.
  • Basic mechanical and control systems understanding.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.
  • Wearing PPE required.
  • Ability to wear respiratory protective equipment if necessary.
