Description Overview

We are looking for applicants interested in becoming a Packaging Operator on 1st Shift.

Monday - Friday; 6:40am-2:40pmStarting Pay: $16.00

  • Employee is responsible for consistently performing work at every station in an assigned machine cell at or above production standards, performing visual parts inspection, and checking customer specifications under minimum supervision.
Scope of the Role
  • Employee is responsible for knowing the procedures for working at each workstation for an assigned machine cell. As well as understand and know the defects for packaging (appearance, color, seal quality, print quality).
  • Employee is responsible for visually inspecting parts produced and separate parts for rework or rejection. Visual inspection includes checking the product spec. sheet, WIP documentation, production releases, and any quality issues as indicated by the specification.
  • Assist with duties such as: changing/retrieving materials, assembling, packing parts into chips, code dates, loading chips into shippers, loading product on to pallet etc.
  • Complete duties related to the operation of the team:
    • Sweep and clean around work area to maintain a safe and orderly environment
    • Participate in team meetings and work with the team to achieve department goals
    • Recommend suggestions that will improve profitability or the safety of the Company
    • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Support effective implementation of all GMP requirements and understand how it affects products/processes supported and/or owned.
  • Involvement with RedZone utilization as instructed.
Experience Required
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral work instructions in English, such as safety, quality, and GMP guidelines
  • 6 months of manufacturing job experience
