Job description

Packaging Operator I

Packaging Operator I is an entry-level position in the packaging department. The Packing Operator is responsible for safely operating packaging equipment to package in-process products in accordance with the packaging batch record, while following SOPs and maintaining 100% cGMP compliance during operations.

Schedule:

1st Shift - 7am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for disposal of rejected products and packaging components in the designated area.
• Execute packaging processes while strictly adhering to cGMP, SOPs, environmental and safety guidelines, and applicable regulations. Use proper safety and protective gear and follow gowning procedures.
• Check and verify bulk and packaging components before entering the packaging room.
• Record and maintain the logbook before and after each batch.
• Perform in-process checks during packaging operations and record data in the packaging batch record.
• Verify weights using scales and balances, and check calibration status of all equipment prior to packaging.
• Ensure the packaging line/room is clean, organized, and ready for operations.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform other functions as required or assigned.
• Comply with all company policies and standards.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Less than one year of experience in pharmaceutical packaging or manufacturing.

Skills:

• Intermediate reading, writing, and communication skills in English.
• Intermediate math and mechanical skills at high school level.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of safety protocols, cGMP, and SOPs.

The hourly base salary ranges from $17.00 to $22.00. Compensation is determined based on qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. We offer comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, a 401(k) match, and employee well-being programs.
