Job summary

New Weds Foods is seeking a Bagger for 2nd Shift in the Mount Pleasant, TX area. The role involves operating a bagging machine, ensuring correct labeling and weight, and passing bags through a metal detector before leaving the bagging area.

Essential duties include labeling accuracy, detector maintenance, proper bag stacking, and adherence to safety policies. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge about manufacturing food preferred.
• Able to communicate well, both verbal and written, with good mathematical skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs. continuously.

Responsibilities

• Ensure batch numbers and product codes on the labels match the product being dumped.
• Make sure the metal detector is in good working condition.
• Stack bags neatly on skids as required and on the correct skid color.
• Return any unused label to the operator so it can be recorded.
• Clean the machine and work area as required.
• Detect any malfunction of the metal detector and rollers and report it to the supervisor.
• Comply with all safety requirements and company policies.
• Report all shortages to the lead operator.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
