Your Role

The Packaging Operator 4 will be a subject matter expert responsible for assembling, operating, and monitoring packaging fill lines. They will train lower-level operators, complete packaging documentation per FDA, ISO, and GMP procedures, and deliver products into inventory.

Shift

Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00AM to 7:30PM.

Responsibilities
  • Direct packaging operators in set-up and operation of automated filling lines.
  • Install format change parts and adjust machine settings for changeovers.
  • Conduct line clearance and verify line readiness.
  • Set up pumps, filters, sensors, and level control systems.
  • Operate filling lines using HMI and adjust parameters.
  • Set-up and operate labelers and tamper banding equipment.
  • Coordinate activities to maximize line effectiveness.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve line issues, escalate as needed.
  • Disassemble and clean parts post-run.
  • Lead shift change discussions.
  • Maintain format change parts and supplies.
  • Train operators on key line operations.
  • Assist in evaluating new equipment and reviewing packaging opportunities.
  • Setup, operate, and clean lyophilizers.
  • Manually and semi-automatically fill liquids or powders.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Follow all quality and safety procedures, support quality systems.
  • Document operations and verify calibration.
  • Generate batch records and ensure documentation accuracy.
  • Participate in safety activities and develop process improvements.
  • Comply with ISO standards and participate in 6S activities.
  • Assist in validations and equipment qualifications.
  • Train lower-level operators and provide performance feedback.
Physical Attributes
  • Sit, stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl as needed.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, more with assistance.
  • Wear PPE including respiratory protection, hard hats, glasses, suits, gloves, and safety shoes.
  • Work in environments that may be wet, hot, cold, or noisy, near moving mechanical parts.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years experience in packaging, warehouse, manufacturing, or processing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • College courses in chemistry or life sciences.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
