Your Role

The Packaging Operator 4 will be a subject matter expert of several areas in the department and will be responsible for assembling, operating, and monitoring state of the art packaging fill lines. They will be responsible for training lower-level operators on equipment and operations of which they are considered subject matter experts. The Packaging Operator IV will be expected to complete appropriate packaging documentation per FDA, ISO, and GMP procedures and deliver products into inventory.

  • Shift: Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00AM to 7:30PM.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot automated filling and labeling equipment, including HMI systems, pumps, filters, sensors, and tamper banding machines.
  • Direct and coordinate packaging operators to ensure efficient line operations, maximize effectiveness, and resolve process bottlenecks.
  • Perform and verify line changeovers, including installation of format change parts, line clearance, and readiness assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety procedures, including documentation, use of PPE, and adherence to ISO 13485/9001 standards.
  • Lead shift handovers and maintain accurate batch documentation, including equipment logs, fill line reports, and calibration records.
  • Train and mentor packaging staff, providing feedback to management and supporting development of SOPs and operational qualifications.
  • Support process improvements and equipment evaluations, contributing expertise to new packaging opportunities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Physical Attributes

  • May sit, stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, or crawl for short periods of time.
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and more than 50 pounds assisted.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment, “PPE,” including but not limited to respiratory protection, hard hats, glasses/goggles, chemical-resistant suits, gloves, safety shoes.
  • Involves the use of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision, and adjusting focus.
  • Work area may occasionally be wet, humid, abnormally hot, or cold.
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts.
  • The employee may work near moving mechanical parts.
  • The noise level in the work environment may be loud.

Who You Are

Minimum qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3+ year experience in packaging, warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, processing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A college course in chemistry, other life science.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
